I am excited to be taking on the position of varsity girls' basketball coach for NCS, where I hope to bring out the best we have to give, playing competitively and passionately, while building great character as well as lasting memories. In 2019, 2020, and 2021 I coached middle school girls' basketball at NCS, with last year's eighth graders taking the District title (our current freshman class). Turns out I didn't even have a year off from coaching, as they needed some help in our daughter's middle school program. I truly do still have a passion for competition and for teaching. When I retired from coaching the boys' basketball team in 2018, I really felt like I was done coaching, and needed to start a new chapter in my life. We appreciate the Christ-centered atmosphere that is encouraged at our school. Following this move, Randy coached varsity boys' basketball from 2012 to 2018, with the Trojans going state for four consecutive years prior to his departure from NCS.Ĭoach Brothers had these words to share, “Nampa Christian has been a huge blessing to our family, with our oldest two sons meeting and marrying neat ladies that they graduated with as well. In 2012 they made the decision to move their family from the public school in Kuna, where Randy had grown up, to Nampa Christian. Randy has been coaching since 1993 and his experience includes 15 years of varsity boys' basketball (as well as years of frosh level, AAU, and even youth basketball), high school cross country, and boys' and girls' track and field, with many trips to State, as well as a couple of State track titles. He spent 22 years in the classroom both in public school at Kuna, as well as teaching three years of chemistry and physics here at Nampa Christian, before resigning to focus on running his family car dealership with his wife, Lisja. Coach Brothers brings years of experience working with students. Randy’s grandson who now attends Kindergarten at NCS will be the second generation to come through. Randy is no stranger to Nampa Christian Schools, having had three sons graduate from NCS and a daughter who is currently a sophomore. Nampa Christian Schools is pleased to announce that Randy Brothers has accepted the position of Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. Donovan already has made several connections with NCS staff through the years and we are blessed to have him as our next middle school principal.” He has a great background in Christian Education and a lot of years as a middle school teacher, coach, and administrator. We are very proud of all her hard work and accomplishments. As we look to the season ahead we are also excited to bring on Thomas Donovan. Jenn Cornell has done an amazing job at NCS and we are saddened to see her leave NCS as an administrator, however, I know she is destined to continue to make an impact on God's Kingdom and education with her work at NNU and her partnership as a parent. I trust that God has providentially brought me to this place and I hope to make a positive impact in the lives of students for His glory.”ĭr. Thomas Donovan had these words to share “My family and I feel incredibly blessed for the opportunity to begin our life in Idaho as part of the Nampa Christian Community. Their daughters Evelyn (10), Lillian (9), and Vera (5) will be joining us as NCS Trojans this fall. We are excited about the Donovan family's arrival this summer. Adrienne and Thomas received a sound foundation of a Biblical worldview as children and have continued their commitment to Christian Education not only through their time at university but in what they have chosen for their own children. We trust that it was the Lord’s leading and timing that brought the Donovan family to apply to attend NCS and then to apply for the Middle School Principal position that later became available.

Thomas and his wife Adrienne both graduated from Calvin Christian School where their children currently attend. The Donovans will make the move to Idaho this summer where they will join family friends who are already part of the NCS family. Since then Thomas has filled both the Middle School Assistant Principal and Principal positions in Escondido, California. Having received his undergraduate degree from Trinity Christian College and his Master in Educational Administration from Concordia University Irvine, Thomas began as a Middle School educator in 2011 teaching Math and P.E. Nampa Christian Schools is pleased to announce that Thomas Donovan has been selected as the next Middle School Principal, beginning in the coming 2022-2023 school year.
